A daughter of Rome, but finding herself in many cities through lines of flight and exchanges of words, Giulia Crispiani has been involved in independent projects between Amsterdam, Tehran and Beirut. Her artistic practice blends together industrial design and object making with analysis, as text and image-based works that manifest in live and printed formats such as performances and publications. She is an editor at NERO Editions, an international publishing house devoted to art, criticism and contemporary culture. As a writer for Extra Extra, she brings perceptive insights into theory and sexuality, pondering with eminent thinkers, including the legendary philosopher Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi.
