Legendary philosopher Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi reaches for the contours of alternate horizons, celebrating an excess of desire and communication. Engaged in media activism, Franco envisages new non-centralized forms of political action and social relations. A pivotal figure in the Italian movement Autonomia, Franco is the founder of the pirate station Radio Alice, broadcasted in Bologna from 1973 until 1977. In conversation with Giulia Crispiani for Extra Extra, Franco speaks of courtship – ‘corteggiamento’ in his words – as the highest form of expression; the game of flirting and language as a potent, continuous transformation.
