Gracefully producing earth-toned paintings, installations and sculptures made from found objects, Ser Serpas evokes a sense of gravitas and playfulness with her creations. She manipulates materials, whether they be waste found on the street or fabrics gifted to her by friends, to produce art in a manner that complicates our perceptions of value. Through her creative works, she imbues meaning into objects we would often not give a second thought to in hopes of communicating with us on the interpersonal level.
