Espace Aygo

Continually transforming their collective household through playful use of whatever is lying around, domestic experiment Espace Aygo lives and breathes art. Having met while studying Fine Arts in Brussels, Salomé Sperling, Jaime le Bleu, Ale Mangindaan, Line Murken and Sijmen Vellekoop bought an old building in Brussels together, choosing to navigate their living space in harmony with the needs of the space, which gently guides them through its transformation into an ever-shifting artful palace of co-creation. The results can never be predicted, the design process taking on a life of its own, mediating the inhabitant-designers’ daily routines and guiding them through their homely lives in an anti-conventional dance that question the constraints of traditional domesticity. Finally moving out at the end of 2025 and selling all the decor, Espace Aygo promise to start inhabiting and transforming a second space: experiment #2.
