Working with text, audio and theatre, Wietse Leenders’ creations are characterised by the pleasure of language, idioms and stylistic experiments, with the magical always lurking within. He studied Theater Studies at Utrecht University and Creative Writing at ArtEZ University of the Arts, where he graduated with the novella Hanna of de val in 2022. He lives and works in Utrecht, writes for Theaterkrant and teaches theory at ArtEZ.
