Laying on a bed covered in pencil strokes, visual artist Soufiane Ababri mostly works within the confines of the domestic space. The immersive scenography of objects, performances, and drawings gather a childlike yet socially engaged body of works. The art space reminisces the intimacy of the bedroom, shattering vibrant colours on the walls from bright yellow to pale pink. A torso as a tulip vase, shirtless Soufiane sweeps the floor, wringing the thoughts of daily erotics. Depicting the posture of masculinity through a core emotional centre, Soufiane’s turns visual perceptions of sensuality upside down.
