Journalist Grayson Haver Currin tunes his pen and ear to an array of kaleidoscopic sounds, taking an especial interest in present-day folk music. He is a long time contributor to Pitchfork and has written for The New York Times and Rolling Stone. In an interview for Extra Extra, he muses on wanderlust and the thrill of sending sexy messages with singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart. Having once run his own music festival, Grayson now runs marathons across the rugged American landscape and Blue Ridge Mountains he calls home.
