Writer, art critic, and editor Quinn Latimer has a unique voice within culture, deeply informed by a sensibility towards literature, history, and art. Moving from Southern California to central and southern Europe, crossing geographies and genres, Quinn is based in Basel, and holds Athens in affection, where she was editor in chief of publication for Documenta 14, in 2017. Her texts record spectres and realities of everyday life culture, compounding the vagaries of rhetoric and poetics. Quinn explores the space between the page and live performance, and creates an awe to the literary architecture of intimacy. Her essays, readings, and poems abound of intimate leaks; look at your mailbox, she regularly sends love letters. In the Tentacular Thinking feature, Quinn wonders “How to Live in Another Body for an Hour?”, unmasking the erotic relations between the performer and the audience.
