A socially-inventive designer and creative director, Gabriel Fontana’s multi-disciplinary design projects invite his audience to reconsider the social structures which impact our shared communities. Re-interpreting sports and physical games in the context of social design, he playfully experiments with how human and common-place practices can shape community structures and inclusion, and how social change can be inspired by a reimagination of existing rituals. Splitting his time between Paris and Rotterdam, Gabriel’s designs contemplate how diversity and inclusion are shaped by physical capabilities, gender, sexuality, and race. Gabriel’s game designs symbolize the fluidity and collaboration he seeks to promote, metamorphosing traditional sports into a living exploration of power, exclusion, and empathy.
