A literary documentarian, publisher, and copywriter, Barbora Baronová embraces interpersonal intmacies in her collaborative visual & literary projects. Barbora frequently works alongside fellow creatives from Wo-Men, the small book publishing house she founded, in the production of gender-oriented art books. Barbora intersects the socially taboo with explorations of gender identity through the tender documentation of women’s every-day lives, such as in her 2015 literary-photography book Intimita. Baronová engages the written and visual in order to follow the deeply personal lives of individual women in an exploration of unspoken experiences like disability, parenting, mortality, sex work, and the process of dying.
