According to the Flemish punk-poet Andy Fierens, rules exist to be broken. Language is not only a substance that can be used disrespectfully, it must be. He is a pleasure seeker who pushes the elasticity of poetry to its limit. Everything and anything can end up in his verse: off-the-wall puns, everyday slang and the kitchen sink. We’re also excited to tell you that Andy is the frontman of ‘Andy & the Androids.’ Describing themselves as literary trash, the group performs a mix of live songs, vignettes and comedy sketches, all to be enjoyed over a pint of strong beer. Together with fellow writer Michaël Brijs, he published a sci-fi novel that blasts off to the Vulva Space Base. Read his short story The Parcel in Extra Extra nº16, where an orgasm is delivered by post.
