A black feminist writer and researcher from London, Lola Olufemi earnestly investigates our capacity to love. In her work Experiments in Imagining Otherwise (2021), a mixed-genre book, consisting of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and pieces that fall somewhere between, she attempts to describe different political futures, envisioning what love could be or what love could truly mean. Alongside writing, she facilitates reading groups and workshops, occasionally curates and is a volunteer co-ordinator at the Feminist Library.
