Oscillating between the inner-cities of Hamburg and Detroit, researcher and curator Kerstin Niemann devotes most of her time and energy studying metropolitan culture. Kerstin’s background in Applied Cultural Sciences, Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies has granted her positions at various art institutions, including the Van Abbemuseum in The Netherlands, where her knowledge and explorations of city life aid in visually transposing such information onto the walls of hushed museum spaces. Dispensing insightful and oh-so-exciting observations and ruminations of built-up environments: “forget what you already know about Hamburg” and allow yourself to be side swept into a world of unadulterated pleasure.
