Through endlessly benefiting many of Rotterdam’s staple institutions—including MAMA, WORM and now Extra Extra—Gari Koolen uses his training in Media and Journalism to channel his a personal interest in the societal effects (physical and mental) of mass-culture and his superficial yet earnest fascination for penguins.
