Bambí Benkö, a queer non-binary Dutch-Hungarian visual artist, blurs the line between participatory performance, public intervention, and sculpture. Entranced by the liminal nature of space, Bambí Benkö creates enchanted environments that embrace haptic sensations and invite engagement beyond the visual. Social issues take an active role in many of their installations, notably focusing on anti-facism and climate justice, and resisting power structures through the fostering of collective creativity. Whether in the streets, raves, or museums, Bambí Benkö’s work transforms space in a site of resistance and possibility.
