Perhaps best known for the award-winning cult documentary Married to the Eiffel Tower (2009) which depicts women feverishly enamoured and smitten with objects: academic, writer and filmmaker Agnieszka Piotrowska investigates the politics of love through film and literature. Eager to interrogate the interrelationship between power and human connection as well as question sexual and social norms, the Londoner sets out to create film and academic work that allow us to see the world anew, if not in a different, erotically tinted shade. As the head of MA Digital, who also lectures in Film Practice and Theory at The University of Bedfordshire, Agnieszka continues to explore the intertwining arrangement between cinema, politics and the arts.
